These pictures are some of the best close-ups ever shown of a new ship on Star Trek. It's clear that they put a lot of work into the computer model of the Prometheus, and I'd almost say there is an 'aztec' pattern there of some sort (notice the implied bird shape near the front, as well as the new diamond shaped lifeboat hatches).

Here's a few pictures of the separated upper saucer section. Notice the two small fold out nacelles that give this section warp capability.
