     The Star Trek: Voyager episode "Hope and Fear" introduced yet another new Federation style starship, the U.S.S. Dauntless NX-01-A. This is a very sleek ship, and, like the Prometheus, features the newer triangular style saucer section (we won't be able to call them "saucers" much longer!), and is basically a one piece hull. Instead of nacelles, the ship has a single blue glowing engine block on the underside, and two small pods, possibly conventional warp engines, extending to the rear. The ship can travel through "slipstream" using some new engine technology, enabling it to travel at extremely high velocity. The crew of the Voyager are tricked into believing that the Dauntless is a new ship sent to them by the Federation, but it turns out to be an alien ship after all.
