Constellation Class Starship
Constellation Class Starship

The Constellation Class ship was designed using pieces of the refit Constitution Class ship, which is commmon practice in Star Trek. The original model was the one that was in Picard's ready room, built out of pieces from the AMT/ERTL Enterprise and various parts from some Anime robot kits. This model was used as the pattern for the large studio model, which from the look of it, is made of parts pulled from the movie Enterprise molds. To my knowledge, only four Constellation Class ships have been shown: U.S.S. Stargazer, U.S.S. Hathaway, U.S.S. Victory, and U.S.S. Valykyrie.

These are vidcaps of the U.S.S. Hathaway from the TNG episode "Peak Performance".

These video captures are taken from the TNG episode "Redemption II". Notice that the model seems to have a bottom saucer section on the top, with the curve going down from the edge, then back up to the bridge. Great pictures of the U.S.S. Valkyrie model can be found at Mike Trice's site. I'm pretty sure this is the Valkyrie, because the Constellation class ship was only shown four times on TNG, and this is the only other un-accounted for ship (the Victory was shown in the TNG episode "Elementary, Dear Data").
