These pictures of the Akira Class starship are captured from the recent episode of StarTrek Voyager "Message in a Bottle". These are the first really good views we have seen of the Akira class ship, and finally we get a chance to see some of the details. Note the Sovereign type lifeboat hatches and the shuttle bay on the back of the saucer section. As you can see, there are also two Defiant class ships in some of these pictures. Apparently these are now being mass produced.
